What is Exit rate?
Exit rate is a measurement in search analytics that records how often users perform a query then leave the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) without clicking on a result. In many ways, exit rate can be thought of as the bounce rate for a search engine. A high exit rate indicates that the search engine is producing poor quality results, since users are not able to find what they are looking for. Exit rates can be compared to conversion rates, which indicate how often users click on a result from an SERP.
