Sales Development Representative
Swiftype is on a mission to enhance every site on the web with a powerful and intuitive search experience. As a sales consultant, you will create valuable relationships by understanding the pain website owners have when thinking about their current search box. You’ll be focused on the vast pipeline of inbound leads coming to Swiftype, engaging with these potential customers through email and phone calls to qualify these opportunities for your Account Executive counterparts.
As one of the first members of our SDR team, you will be instrumental in shaping the sales process and driving growth. We are looking for individuals who are start-up minded, have the confidence to take risks, are passionate about building something special, and are not afraid to work really hard for success.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Meeting your monthly quota by diligently contacting and qualifying every inbound lead
- Having well-communicated and effective qualification calls
- Managing and forecasting your opportunity pipeline to support your AEs
- Evangelizing the product to build Swiftype champions in the marketplace
- Engaging with our engineers to ensure our customers love the product
- Generally contributing to all areas of Swiftype growth
Requirements (or really good-to-haves):
- 1-2 years experience in a customer facing role
- Experience in a SaaS technology sales environment
- Technically proficient and able to clearly communicate with both a technical and non-technical audience
- Eloquent speaker and writer
- A team player, hard-working, passionate, enthusiastic and confident
- Ready to come in, be autonomous and hit the ground running!
